The Arts Volunteer programme is a way for the Arts Society to reach out into the local community. We raise money from our raffle which is used to donate to groups.

Amanda, our Arts Volunteering committee member, has been busy this year applying for grants to support our projects.

In July 2026 we were delighted to be able to support Space4Autism - a local charity in Macclesfield. They hold weekly art classes for adults. Our £500 donation will be able to provide materials and resources to enrich the activities on offer to this group.

We are continuing to support the Sunflower Centre at East Cheshire Hospice. The centre provides art activities for patients.  Watercolour paintings produced by the patients at the  Sunflower Centre, have been made into coasters. The cost of producing the coasters has been funded by the Arts Society’s Patrica Fay Memorial Fund. Under the title ‘Patients Supporting Patients’  this project is now live and generating valuable funding for the East Cheshire Hospice through sales of the coasters.

In October we held a fun charity Arts Quiz at the cricket club. £69 profit was raised to support our Arts Volunteering projects.
